About Us
As part of The University of Alabama's division of Academic Outreach,
the Gadsden Center offers flexible and convenient programs designed for
working adults. Students are served on a personal basis. Courses
are taught by distinctive UA faculty members, and classrooms have the
best in technology and comfort. Also a testing site for ACT, MAT,
and Praxis exams, the Gadsden Center has provided quality learning
experiences for adults in north Alabama, northwest Georgia, and
southeast Tennessee for more than 60 years.

Driving Directions
From I-59
(North or South):
From Interstate 59, take highway
759. Take exit 4B which is the Rainbow Dr. exit North.
This is also known as Hwy 411. Go one mile, and turn left on
Walnut Street. Turn right on First Street. The Gadsden Center is
on the right. There is a large sign by the parking lot and on
the building.
From Highway 77 (North or South):
Continue on highway 77 to highway
411 in Rainbow City. Turn North on 411 toward Gadsden. Continue
for several miles, past the Mall, past Riverview Hospital, and
past Convention Hall to turn left on Walnut Street for one
block. Turn right on First Street for two more blocks. The
Gadsden Center is the second building on the right. There is a
large sign by the parking lot and on the building.
From Highway 431 North or Highway 278 West:
As you approach Gadsden, the highway
is called Meighan Blvd. Cross the Coosa River bridge, and turn
left at the first signal light after the bridge (Third Street).
Go one block on Third Street, and turn left on Locust Street. Go
two blocks, and turn right on First Street. The Gadsden Center
is the first building on the left. There is a large sign by the
parking lot and on the building.
From Highway 431 South or Highway 278 East:
Come through Attalla toward
Gadsden. When you get to Gadsden the highway is called Meighan
Blvd. Begin looking to the right side for street signs. Turn
right at Third Street. Go one block on Third Street, and turn
left on Locust Street. Go two blocks, and turn right on First
Street. The Gadsden Center is the first building on the left.
There is a large sign by the parking lot and on the building.
From Highway 411 (North or South):
Exit 411 at Meighan Blvd. (Hwy. 431 N./Hwy. 278 W.). At the first light,
turn left (Third Street). Go one block on Third Street, and turn left on
Locust Street. Go two blocks, and turn right on First Street. The
Gadsden Center is the first building on the left. There is a large sign
